	Shooting through the window of a moving subway car can be challenging. The MTA doesn't exactly place the cleanliness of the windows at the top of their list of priorities, and New Yorkers don't put keeping the windows clean at the top of their list, either. But the grimy window adds character to this shot. Taken on an overcast day and transformed to black & white in Lightroom, it is an accurate representation of the grittiness of my hometown. The view from the Q may not be as scenic as the view from the side of the Grand Canyon, but I adore it just the same.
