crochet knee socks, by Wanda McCrae 14 April 2009

I am not only a photographer: I am also an experienced knitter and crocheter. Here is an all-but abandoned project I finally finished this week.

Crochet Knee Socks
Yarn Brand: Red Heart Weight: Worsted/Medium Color: 0313 Aran (no dye lot)

I altered the original pattern to make the sock top 60 stitches long, instead of 30. I also used a 4.00mm hook, as I did not have the 4.50mm hook the pattern called for.

These socks are thick: perfect for lounging around the house on chilly days or wearing outside in winter. They just fit my women's size 10.5 casual shoes. My next pair will be made of sportweight yarn, so I can wear them in the spring/summer.
